Oral Sermorelin capsules provide a convenient alternative to injectable Sermorelin for GH optimization support. Sermorelin is a synthetic analog of the first 29 amino acids of endogenous GHRH (growth hormone releasing hormone), the hypothalamic peptide that stimulates the pituitary to produce and release GH. Injectable Sermorelin was FDA-approved for the treatment of pediatric GH deficiency and has been widely used in anti-aging medicine. Unlike synthetic GH, Sermorelin stimulates the body’s own GH production in a physiological pulsatile pattern, which preserves the natural feedback mechanisms that regulate GH levels and reduces the risk of GH receptor desensitization. Oral Sermorelin has lower bioavailability than injectable forms due to partial degradation in the GI tract, but still provides meaningful GH stimulation through intestinal absorption. It is particularly valued as a convenient alternative for individuals seeking GH optimization without injections, or as a maintenance protocol between injectable cycles.

Sermorelin binds to GHRH receptors (GHRHR) on somatotroph cells in the anterior pituitary gland, activating adenylyl cyclase and increasing intracellular cAMP. This triggers the synthesis and release of growth hormone (GH) in pulsatile bursts that mirror the natural physiological pattern. GH then acts on the liver and peripheral tissues to stimulate IGF-1 (insulin-like growth factor 1) production, which mediates many of GH’s anabolic and metabolic effects. Unlike exogenous GH administration, Sermorelin preserves the natural negative feedback loop — when GH levels rise sufficiently, somatostatin release from the hypothalamus inhibits further GH secretion, preventing supraphysiological GH levels. Bedtime administration aligns with the natural nocturnal GH pulse and may enhance slow-wave sleep quality through GH’s effects on sleep architecture.
Protocol Notes: Take on empty stomach before bed. Higher doses than injectable due to lower oral bioavailability.
