Description

Oral BPC-157 capsules deliver the gastric pentadecapeptide directly to the gastrointestinal tract, where it exerts potent local healing effects on the mucosal lining. BPC-157 was originally isolated from human gastric juice and has demonstrated remarkable cytoprotective properties across hundreds of preclinical studies. While injectable BPC-157 is preferred for musculoskeletal injuries due to higher systemic bioavailability, oral administration is particularly effective for GI conditions including leaky gut syndrome, inflammatory bowel disease, GERD, and gut dysbiosis. Research has shown that oral BPC-157 can accelerate healing of intestinal anastomoses, protect against NSAID-induced GI damage, and normalize gut motility disrupted by various insults. The oral route also allows for convenient once or twice daily dosing without the need for reconstitution or injection.

Mechanism of Action

“Oral BPC-157 for gastrointestinal healing, gut permeability, and systemic anti-inflammatory effects.”

Oral BPC-157 acts locally on the GI mucosa by activating the FAK-paxillin pathway, which promotes cell migration and tissue repair at sites of mucosal injury. It stimulates angiogenesis through upregulation of VEGF and EGF receptors, improving blood supply to damaged intestinal tissue. BPC-157 also modulates the nitric oxide (NO) system, which plays a central role in GI mucosal protection and blood flow regulation. Anti-inflammatory effects are mediated through inhibition of NF-κB signaling and reduction of pro-inflammatory cytokines including TNF-α and IL-6. Some systemic absorption does occur, providing additional anti-inflammatory and healing effects beyond the GI tract, though at lower concentrations than injectable administration.
